Little Sparrows
Little Sparrows is about the unending love of a Mother for her children and her wisdom to pass it on. It is a story about secrets, loss, and the desire to love that we all share.
Over one hot Christmas in the midst of an Australian summer, we meet a family. The mother is Susan. She is married to James, a veteran actor who seeks an overdue revival of his acting career. They have three daughters. Their eldest, Nina, is widowed with two young children. Anna is an aspiring actress married to a filmmaker. Christine is the youngest and is studying medicine.
When Susan's breast cancer spreads, the family is faced with choices. Each daughter has a story they need to confront. Their mother guides them, revealing her own.
Our lives are the sum of our decisions and there is always a determining event along the journey.
