Samson and Delilah

'Samson and Delilah' is a tragic and moving tale about life in an isolated Aboriginal community through the eyes of two teenagers, discovering love and hate all at the same time. It is confronting, and told in an amazing silence that somehow says it all.

When tragedy strikes, Samson and Delilah are forced to turn their backs on home and embark on a journey of survival. Lost, unwanted and alone they discover that life isn't always fair, but love never judges.

'Samson and Delilah' won the Camera D'Or award for best first feature film at the Cannes Film Festival, Warwick won the Blue Angel Award for Best Director in the Feature Competition at the 17th Art Film Fest Trenčianske Teplice-Trenčí and Warwick received an Awgie nomination for best original feature script.

Directed and Written by Warwick Thornton; Starring, Rowan McNamara, Marissa Gibson, Mitjili Gibson and Scott Thorton.

Viewers of Samson and Delilah will also be privileged to view a short film 'Storytime' prior to the movie screenings. Click here for more information about this and other short films being screened during the festival.
