Take a Short Break on Us!

Free; frolicsome; frightening; factual; fanciful; fantastic films

A unique and special event is the free screening of a number of sets of Western Australian and French short films at Art Geo during CinéfestOZ.

These screenings include the 2009 short films selected by ScreenWest for their annual Get Your Shorts On event that showcases the talents and variety of filmmakers working in WA.

There are two compilations of Deadly Yarns. These are the films written, directed and produced by our indigenous talent.

The French shorts are a rich and quirky selection of animated films from the Totally Animated Annecy film festival. They demonstrate the depth of talent and wide range of techniques used by animators. If you thought animation was only for children, you are in for a great surprise!

More information about Art Geo opening hours during the festival can be sourced by visiting the events page.

Most of these films are unclassified but use Adult Themes and have a recommended rating of M for mature audiences.

These short film sessions and Art Geo celebrations are proudly brought to you by Jack in the box.
