The CinéfestOZ Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of the new 2009 Festival Coordinator, Malinda Nixon.

Malinda brings a diverse background to her newly appointed role, previously working with a variety of community based organisations in creating, developing and maintaining regional events and attractions. Malinda has strong business and marketing foundations garnered from the need to adapt to the varying requirements of event coordination roles.

Malinda and her family moved to Busselton from the WA Goldfields three years ago.The coast and surrounding region with its many attractions has provided her family with a new set of diverse experiences and opportunities.

Malinda is excited to be part of this cultural highlight in the South West Region's calendar and strives to create an impacting, socially and culturally immersive experience for 2009's Festival.

Malinda strongly believes in forming productive working relationships with members of the community and encourages people to contact her with ideas and feedback on last year's CinéfestOZ 08.
